Hi,

To become a nurse you can take up B.Sc Nursing after your 12th with PCB. B.Sc. Nursing is a 4 year professional course which is registered under and is controlled by Indian Nursing Council.

There are mainly two Bachelor programs in Nursing available in India, Basic B.Sc (4 years) and Post Basic B.Sc (2-3 year). If you want you can even opt for a distance learning course in the same.


The eligibility criterion for B.Sc. Nursing is 10+2 with 45% marks and PCB and English are compulsory subjects for the same.

The Admissions to this course is mainly on the basis of entrance exams. there are basically 2 type of exams that you can sit for one that is conducted on all India basis along with the MBBS exams and the other is conducted by the private institutions with are only for students who want to apply for nursing.

You can take up these exams to pursue this course in Nursing.
