The question is very interesting . One can pursue M.Com degre via regular mode and also through correspondence mode .

Benefits of doing M.com through regular course :-

The student who do M.com as a regular course will get an opportunity to attend class room sessions.. They will get more exposure to practical sessions as well. They will get proper guidance under experienced teachers or faculties that will help them to be thorough with the subjects covered in course curriculam . More over they will interact with the class mates that will help them refresh their mind which helps them to get along with the studies.

Benefits of doing M.com through correspondence course:-

For students who have difficulty in attending regular classes , they can pursue their degree through correspondence only. The students with family constraints or those who are working and wish to pursue academic degree ( M.com) can fulfill their wish by doing the degree through correspondence mode . Students can save the time and money on transportation and they can under go this course sitting in their homes. Their will be options to access the class notes via post or else through online mode as well. The persons who are presently working need not loose their job for doing this degree.

Finally it is advisable for a student to do M.com through correspondence mode only if he has work experience. Doing M.com through regular mode is better for a candidate who has no work experience . For a fresher to seek job in reputed firms , the degree earned through regular mode is more advantageous. How would this course ( M.Com) help????
What kind of a profile are you looking out for after pursuing this course???

Just being interested in pursuing further studies, makes no sense in pursuing a course. Masters is a course, which helps you learn something new and specialise with it.
You need to see where the course would lead you to.

As per your Graduation, in management, why dont you pursue an MBA itself.
Since in the future the market would demand an MBA qualification and you are looking out for an additional qualification.

Anyways its your choice. M.Com can be pursued as a correspondence course too. Pursue correspondence only if you are unable to leave your job or your pursuing a full time course.

Pursuing the course from the regular college always helps you to learn in depth and gain a good knowledge as compared to the distance learning/correspondence courses.

You can apply to the Distance education universities like IGNOU,MGU,Sikkim Manipal University,Symbiosis Distance Learning etc.While you are applying to the distance university course make sure that these universities are UGC approved. While many of the universities also offer PG Diploma Courses which you can check with the respective universities website or by getting in touch with university officials.

If you are interested in education field, then I would recommend you to do NET / SET and later a PhD.

Masters courses are available in correspondence mode.

If you want to be in the industry, then MBA is best suited than an MCom.
