Hi Kunal, IT companies look for Consultant's with domain knowledge to assist clients in the selection, implementation, and support of SAP Industry Solution for Oil & Gas. You are required to use your consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the clients business environment in order to achieve client expected business results. I'm sure in your current company, there must be a Technology implementer partner. If, its SAP(IS OIL), then nothing like it. Even other SAP modules like MM , CRM etc. can be of relevance depending upon your current nature of work. You involve yourself in the core-implementation group as Key member than as end-user and interact with the technology guys to understand what it takes to be on the other side of the table. I would advise spend some more time in your industry, that way your domain experience will strengthen further. Look for companies who are implementing SAP(IS OIL)/(MM IS OIL) etc. Change over and be a core team memberthere . That way you can claim to have one implementation experience(which is must), while applying for IT Consulting jobs.
