Nikki, If you eventually do want to become a lecturer, NET is mandatory. Therefore I would advice you to appear for the same
UGC NET Exam is for those who wish to become a lecturer or wish to get Junior Research Fellowship.
After qualifying UGC NETyou will get lots of career opportunities which will be more than the opportunities that you will get after qualifying B.Ed Exam.
So, in my opinion going for UGC NET will be much better than B.Ed.
