Dear Aspirant,
Complete sympathy towards your friend and I also appreciate that you approached CareerGuide for your friend to take advice and make his life better.
Now that he is required to do a job to support the family please tell him not to get discouraged and disheartened. There is definitely a bright future ahead of him and his work experience which he is gaining day by day will be the biggest asset to him in future.
Correspondence degree in engineering particularly would not be very much valued. I would first suggest that he should talk admission to a regular engineering course in a college which can exempt him for attendance due to his family condition. If this is not possible, then he may go for correspondence engineering or a part time engineering degree course. I suppose that he has cleared 12th. If he is 10th cleared, then he need to take admission to Diploma Engineering with the above factors.
In his case, where is he working due to family condition which can be proved, his correspondence or part time engineering degree (pursued from a recognised University) will be considered for future jobs and current jobs. So please ask him to relax and do his job with dedication and manage studies.
I wish him the best and also request you to help him keep his positivity and energy. Days will change soon and he will succeed.
Best wishes to him..
In order to post replies to the question: "Hi sir ! A friend of mine had to take up his father's job due to his father's untimely death! But he wanted to pursue engineering.can he take up a correspondence course.will that be helpful or will the degree be valued?"
