B.Tech is a technical degree of 4 years that trains you in the specific field. B.Tech Biotechnology is an innovative combination of biological sciences which is applicable in industries like pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food, healthcare, nanotechnology, environment, fuel etc.  It diversifies into bio-informatics, bio-medical sciences, prosthetic etc. While many people are not aware of the fact that there are specific national institutes like national research centre for banana where every part of the fruit has been utilized in making different products. Similarly, we also have National Brain Research Centre, CSIR etc. Having said that, you can very well imagine the scope of this degree in future. You may pursue in two areas:

1. Research and development by doing M.tech and Ph.d to work as a scientist/ professor/ researcher etc.

2. Industrial Management by doing an MBA in agriculture management or other specialization.
