Banking is one of the growing sector in India. The aspirants who wish to make their career in the field of Banking have a varied range of career options these days available. Earlier the work of the banks was very much confined. Banking sector is one of the top growing sector as the economy of India has been growing at a greater pace. Earlier the Banking sector was completely operated manually but with the introduction of the technology it has given a room for the tech savvy and skilled people's requirement to work in this sector .
One have an option of making their career in the Banking Sector with two areas:-1.Government Banking Sector2.Private Banking Sector
One needs to select in which area of banking they wish to make their career.
In order to become a Bank Manager in the Government Banks one needs to complete a graduation degree from any stream except fine arts. After that one needs to appear for the Bank Probationary Officer (PO) exams which are conducted by IBPS (Institute of Banking Personel Selection). The age criteria in order to appear for theses exams is 21years to 30 years. There is a theory paper and if you get into the merit you have an interview.
While if you are willing to make your career in the Private Banking Sector you need should hold a good qualification in the finance. Qualifications like MBA Finance,Chartered Accountant , Economics etc. with good percentage will help to get into private banking sector while these qualifications are also useful in the government banks.
The vacancies notification in private banks are either published in the newspapers like Employement Newspaper, Times of India etc. or one can visit to the respective websites of the Bank like ICICI,HDFC,AXIS etc.
Career in Banking Sector is one of the promising and respectful career having a wide scope and opportunites for one to grow.
