My parents want me to appear for Engineering Examinations but I am personally interested in applying for Mass Comm. So I want to appear and prepare for Mass Comm. Examinations side by side. Please tell me a proper way or strategy I should follow so that I can equally pay importance to both the areas.

Dear aspirant
Hi There,
Your question puts me in a state of shock.
Since both Engineering and Media requires high level of concentration and persistence.
As an engineering student, apart from lectures, you would be engaged in practicals that would consume most of your day, which at the end I dont think you would have time to focus on Media course.
Similarly during the media course, you would be expected to carry on with internship and that too would consume your day and it would be impossible to appear for engineering lectures and practicals.
Even if you somehow manage, it would completely strain you.
Best here would be to get an Aptitude tests done, and with the results brain storm and choose a career accordingly.May be you have both the potentials. So then advisable would be to pursue engineering and in the vacations opt for courses like web designing, animations, coral draw etc, which would be later required if you wish to join the media industry. Also note that, after an engineering degree, you can opt for a PG Diploma in Media, but not the other way round.
And in-case if you wish to pursue a PG Diploma, the above mentioned certificates would come in handy.
In case you wish to continue in the field of engineering, then you could opt to work as an engineer in the Media industry and these certificates can be helpful at that time too.
But instead of going round and round, my advise would be to brainstorm with your Parents and come down to a common conclusion and if supported with an Aptitude tests it would be the best.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck dear...
