Dear Friend,Greetings of the day!!!
As you have mentioned you are studying in Birla School at pilani and there are no Opportunities for you to get Professional Coaching you can Start the preparation on your own.
The Preparation of CPT is not very complex, moreover the subjects of CPT i.e. Accounts, Mercantile Law, Quantitative Aptitude and Economics are up to class XII level only.
You have Ample amount of time for preparation, the only thing which you need to take care is that you have to study the topics in detail and should understand the concepts well in detail.
The Knowledge which is required for CPT is only up to class XII, one more difference is that its a objective type of test and you have to mark the responses/answers in OMR.
Regarding Maths which you do not have as a subject in class XI and XII, do not worry the maths which you need can be prepared with the help of good books available in the market. You can also consider to take help from you science friends who have maths as subject.
Preparation for objective type of test is essential and thus you should purchase a good book for CPT question bank or Model test paper.
For your Knowledge CPT exam is just a basic entry barrier for CA Career and not meant to be difficult it is just a way to check your knowledge upto class XII.
Do not worry and work on the basics
Wish you all the best!!!!
Dear Aspirant,
Thanks for approaching us at CareerGuide.
Studying Maths is not a mandatory requirement for studying CA.
Being a commerce student, you already have the background to become a CA. CPT is a good entrance test from ICAI and you just need to be good at your basics of maths, economics, accounts.
Do not get tensed for CPT. Your passion, interest and emotional support will one day make you a CA.
Best wishes,
