Dear Aspirant,
Personally, I would NOT suggest you to choose such programs which are vague in nature and contents.
Instead you may go for a general management programme from a good Institute, like MDI Gurgaon, etc.
Best wishes
HI There,
I agree with Dr Anand.
Do not opt for a program that will not help you develop your skills.Leadership traits are something that one develops over a period of time and it is subjective, so no course as such can be helpful. Though the course can act as a guideline, but still not recommended.
I rather feel you ca go ahead and pursue an MBA or an certification related to your line of job, which would be more helpful for you to progress in your work related area.
Wish you good luck....
Dear Rajeev,
Thanks for writing to us!
If your company is giving promotion based on the course, then only go for it.
Otherwise, as recommended by other Senior counselors, MBA can be a good choice. MBA is a good choice when you want to make a career in the management sector and want to hold managerial positions.
Specialization in MBA: You may specialize in your area of interest. MBA specialization is not limited to HR, Marketing, Sales or the new growing domains like Digital Marketing, International Relations etc. Depending upon the type of industry you would like to work with, you can choose specialization in MBA. For example, if you are specifically interested working in software industry, then MBA in IT management or information system can be beneficial.
Popular Specializations in MBA:Financial ManagementInformation Technology ManagementTelecom ManagementCorporate Social ResponsibilityRural managementAgri business managementHealthcare managementMarketingProductions and Operations ManagementOrganizational Behaviour & Human Resource ManagementStrategic ManagementSupply Chain ManagementQuantitative Methods and Information SystemsCorporate Strategy and PolicyInnovation & EntrepreneurshipInternational Business Management
You can choose Institutions based on your desired specialization.
Full time or Distance education:If you are working and can not afford leaving job, correspondence course from recognized University/INstitution would be useful.
However, if you get into premier institutions then doing full-time MBA is advisable.
Entrance Exam:For full time as well as part time MBA course, there are various entrance examinations that will help you get into the top MBA colleges. CAT (Common Admission Test) serves as a gateway for an MBA at the IIMs and many other leading institutes. Some other popular exams are XAT (Xaviers), NMAT, SNAP, CMAT, TISS, IRMA etc.
Hope this is helpful.
Best Wishes,Apurva Kumar Pandya, PhD
