Designing is the blend of artistic talents and creativity.Interior designing is the arrangement of living space i.e organizing, managing and planning of the interiors of rooms at homes, offices, retail shops, showrooms, hotels, airports, exhibition halls, conference centers, theatres, TV and film studios and commercial establishments etc.

To be a successful interior designer you need to have creative thinking, excellent communication skills, originality, good listening capability and a keen interest in transforming a simple place to a beautiful one. If you think you have it in you, then this is the right career for you.

Scope:

The opportunities for interior designers are plentiful. As a fresher you can start your career with a senior designer and gain experience.

Fresh graduates from interior design courses can find gainful employment with independent architects or in large architectural firms, building contractors, hotels and resorts. Professionals may also find work in private design consultancy firms, theaters and exhibition organizing companies. The public sector also has a large demand for interior designers. Public institutions such as town planning bureaus, metropolitan and regional development departments and the public works department have a need for the expertise of interior designers.

After gaining some years of experience one can also start up his/her own design house.

Salary:

A fresher can expect a salary between 5000-10000 depends on the institution he/she is from. As experience the salary rises to 50000-75000 pm. With the senior most position one can even earn much higher.
