Hello Dear Friend,Welcome to CareerGuide Thanks for coming with your query.
As everyone knows that the major occupation of India is Agriculture and it has been the Backbone of the countries economy. Therefore 70% of the professions are directly or indirectly connected with Agriculture.
Agricultural engineering is a branch of engineering in which deals with the application of engineering principles and technology practices to the efficient production of food and also processing of food ,fiber and fuels. The course is a blend of the principles of animal biology, plant biology, civil, electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering.
As the demand for food is increasing so there has been great need of Agricultural Engineers for developing new strategies. Answering your question In India also there has been a great demand for Agriculture Engineers . In India you can either work in Private or Public Sector. You can apply to Indian Counsel for Agriculture Research (ICAR) institutes which are all over India.
While there is much wider scope and demand in the foreign European countries and also in the United States of America because in these countries because in these countries grow more crops and are agro based industries are present in a wide range. So the scope for Agricultural Engineer is more in these countries as compared to India. One can work in these countries with Big organisations involved in Agro based Industries, Research and Development,Agribusiness Fertilisers, Big Corporations,Pesticides,Developing New Crops etc.
So you can think where you wish to make a career in India or in USA or any other European Country. So depending on your choice you can make a career in Agricultural field very well.
I hope you find this information useful and helpful.
Feel free to get in touch again for your career query.
Wish you Good Luck!!!
Thank You
Warm Regards,
Prathamesh K.
