Many students they plan to make to make a career in the customs or in the Income Tax department but they do not get a proper guidance for the same and hence they drop their plans of achieving their goal. Career in the government sector is gaining a lot of demand these days and is gaining a lot of importance too. There is a tremendous competition for the government jobs. As you aspire to make a career in the customs field it is one of the great fields. The customs officer exams are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). To appear for the UPSC exam you will be needed to meet the eligibility criteria i.e. you have to be a graduate student of any stream. Your age should be between 21 years to 32 years. 3 years of age relaxation for OBC candidate and 5 years for the SC/ST candidate. The customs officer post is offered in the India Revenue Service for customs and Central excise group ‘A” There is also several other posts offered in the UPSC exams. The exam is conducted in 3 stages:
On qualifying the exam you will be appointed as the customs officer. You can apply for the exam after the notification is issued by the UPSC. You need to apply online for the exam. You can visit the upsc.gov.in information regarding the exam can be available at the upsconline.co.in
