Hello Aspirant,
It’s a simple procedure which requires you to go to the official website of the UPSC, i.e. www.upsc.gov.in or www.upsconline.nic.in where you need to fill up an online application form and pay the fee through Net Banking or Challan. The fee is only 100/- rupees except for the Female and SC,ST,PH candidates who are exempted from paying the fee.
The UPSC conducts the Civil Services Exam (CSE), i.e. the IAS exam annually every year. The whole process takes a complete year to get it completed. The CSE is a three stage exam which consist of the Prelims, the Mains, and the Personality Test. Generally, the notification comes in the month of February and you are supposed to attend the Prelims exam in the May/June. The candidates who get qualified for the Mains exam after clearing the Prelims will write the Mains in the month of October. Personality tests will be held after Mains and the candidates who get through Personality Test (Interview) will be selected for the various central services accordingly.
