500+ Career Options
1M+ Test Taken
Looks like a long term planning. But mind you it is the right time to choose and decide on a career.
The choices you have put down in terms of CA and B.Tech are just 2 extreme choices.
They both have different prospects and job markets and most importantly require different skill set and streams of study.
B.Tech is a field of engineering, whereby you are mainly into the manufacturing of a product and into its research.
For a career in B.tech, you need to be a 12th Science student especially PCM subjects. Post 12th, you need to clear entrance exams like CET, AICTE and IIT. Mostly IIT offers a B.Tech program, rest offers a B.E program.
It is a 4 years course, mostly practical oriented whereby Industry exposure is provided to the students. After that you could go ahead with a masters degree or an MBA program or into the job field.
As far as CA is concerned, they are mainly into dealing with finances of the organization as well as budgeting and taxation.
To pursue CA, mostly finance or Math knowledge is a must. Mostly anyone from the commerce stream with Math as a subject opts for CA. Though a Science student could also opt for the same if very much interested with finance matters.
After 12th, a student needs to clear the CPT tests, the basic level of CA, Post that along with the graduation degree one can appear for IPCC and then CA finals. But please note that these exams require a minimum of 7---10 hours of full time dedication. Hence preferably someone from the commerce stream is preferable since commerce classes are in the morning and rest of the time can be dedicated to studying or preparing for the CA exams.
The choice of stream is yours. if you are a technical oriented person who is always into breaking and joining of things and is interested more in the functioning of an object then B.Tech is your field. If Math is your strength and you can and enjoy playing with numbers CA is your field.
Make a confirmed choice.Wish you good luck..
Dear Aspirant,
Preference to a career option should strictly be based on your liking and scientific assessment of your liking, passion and strengths.
BTech and CA are two different streams.
To be best sure of what suits you for your career, I would suggest you to undergo a online psychometric test called as Stream Suggestor from CareerGuide which will help you understand yourself in respect of your strengths, weaknesses, emotional quotient, etc. and will exactly tell you which stream is good for you.
Best wishes,
