The zoologist is a person who studies the animals, their behavior, classifications, distribution and physiology in their natural habitat and in captivity. The zoologist may work as laboratory man or as a field visitor or both.The nature of job of a zoologist also depends upon the academic qualifications and the place of work. The academic qualifications are either post graduate or doctoral degree in zoology or animal behavior or animal conservation. The person with only post graduate degree in zoology is eligible to get a job as Technical officer, or Research associate or Senior Research fellow or Junior Research Fellow. For all these jobs, the computer skills are must, because the person has to collect the data and analyze it. The person is also supposed to prepare reports and write the research papers. The other necessary skills are ability and willingness to learn the new techniques. To analyze the data one should also know the basic knowledge of statistics.if the job is field related then the zoologist should be physical fit and healthy. The person should have a loving attitude towards the animals. The person could also be assigned the field duty to observe the animals.
