The working hours and the timings of the manufacturing engineers vary greatly from project to project and time to time. The information has been provided below to present you the clear picture about the working hours of the manufacturing engineers:

1. The working hours of most of the manufacturing engineers vary from eight to nine hours every day and they are required to work either six days or five days a week.

2. The manufacturing projects usually work during the days as well as nights. Therefore there are two sets of teams working in the project. One team that works in the day time and the other that works in the night shifts. Therefore the manufacturing engineers may be required to work in the night shifts. But of course your personal preferences are also considered before putting you in any shift. Usually companies follow rotational policy where all the engineers are rotated in the day and night shifts turns by turns. However most of the times you would be working in the day shifts only.

3. There is no scope of getting the flexible timings during the manufacturing project. This is because all the manufacturing processes are dependent on large number of engineers and workers and they all have to work together to finish things off. One cannot afford to take break as per his or her own convenience. However if the project is shut and you are busy only in the paper works and quality assurance or planning, then you can be allowed for flexible hours for small time may be. You will have to talk to the management for that purpose.

4. The manufacturing engineers while working in a project do not get much chance to take the holidays and therefore the work pressure is often huge. The busy schedule is specially there during the deadlines of the project. Once the project is completed and till the time they get assigned the new project they enjoy relaxed work and take vacations during that period most of the times.
