If you are aware of the IAS exam pattern then you might know that there are compulsory General Studies papers along with one optional subject. You can take your current graduation subject as an optional subject and that will be helpful for you to get more marks in the IAS exam likewise. Optional subjects to choose from, have been listed there in the official notification of the UPSC. The notification comes every year probably in February in the Employment Newspaper and gets published on the official website of the UPSC, i.e. www.upsc.gov.in.
