Dear friend, there are many disciplines to become a biologist. You have to study the biology subject from your secondary classes. In 10+2 you have take biology as one of the subject. In graduation you have to choose any one or two of the following:Botany, zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Environmental Sciences, Biomedial Sciencs, Forensic Sciences, Nanobiotechnology. Besides the above subjects you may also become biologist by opting BSc Agriculture. After BSc agriculture, you will be a simple graduate. To become a biologist you have to do MSc in any one the agriculture subject, such as MSc Agronomy, MSc Plant Breeding & Genetics, MSc Horticulture. MSc Forestry, MSc Entomology, MSc Nematology. After obtaining masters degree you have to to doctoral degree in any one of subject mentioned for MSc.Similarly, you choose any one biology subject mentioned before. You have to do masters and doctoral degree program to become a biologist. You may also change your stream in doctoral degree. If you are holding a masters degree in Botany then you are eleigible for getting a doctoral degree in Microbiology or biotechnology or biochemistry or genetics.
