Hi There,

I shall give you a little information on biotechnology and areas where its used, you decide the scope.

Since your definition of scope may vary.

When biology merges with technology, it is called biotechnology. Biotechnology  combines biological sciences with technologies to manipulate living organisms and biological systems to help producing products in areas  related to healthcare, medicine, agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals and environment control.

Biotechnology is more a research oriented field. Mainly into R & D.

You can either pursue a B.tech or an B.Sc in Biotechnology.

After a B.Tech you could join any industry in their research department. Mainly we find biotech students in the pharma or agro based industries, in their research department.

Thus as a Biotech student when all industries are open for you, you can imagine your scope.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck...
