Interesting career choice and something very unique.
Having an interests in Animals and reseraching on them are two different aspects.This is one thing your daughter needs to be clear before she takes up this field.
Being interetsed in animals, she can keep them as pets or nurture them in the vicinity, but when it comes to a profession, she has to be 24/7 with animals only.
Zoology is a field dealing with research on animals, their habitats and how to breed animals and their food.
This means she would be complately into reasearch.
Depending on where her interests lies, she can opt for that particular specialization.Genetics incolves dealing with animal breeding to procuyre a species of animals and at the same time genetically being able to eradicate certain disorders for which Animals extinct.Whereas biotechnology will be completely related to animal breeding.
Zoology and biotechnology can be related, but genetics is completely different and a complete Research oriented field, whereby researching on the animal cell system.
Whether she wishes to opt for Zoology or genetics or Biotechnology, she would have to opt for PCB option only.Genetics emphasizes mastery over Physics, whereas Biotechnology emphasizes on Biology and Physics with a combination of technology.
Just adding to the career choice discussion.SInce she is interested in Animals, she can even opt for becoming a Vet, a Animal doctor too.So post 12th, she can clear the entrance examination for medical, and study MBBS ( VET), for 5 1/2 years. At the masters level she can opt for either Biotechnology or Genealogy.
