India has three security forces i.e Army,Air Force and Navy that protects the country from the foreign intrusions. All these forces play a very vital role in the security of the country. As India is surrounded by water bodies from the three sides India needs a strong Security Forces to protect the country from foreign attacks . The Navy forces are very important for protecting the water borders of the country. Their work is not only protecting the water borders but also to keep an eye on the various malpractices taking place over the water borders.
So answering your query about the placement part in order to make a career in Navy one has good career opportunities. One do not need to hunt for the Placement in Navy. Navy Jobs are under the Central Government. So in order to make a career in this field one needs to apply for the National Defence Academy Exam- NDA which is conducted every year by the UPSC board. This exam is conducted twice in a year and this exam is specially designed for the security force careers. One who wish to make a career in Army,Navy or Air force need to give an NDA exam.
The eligibility criteria for NDA exam is one should have completed 12th from science with subjects Maths and Physics. The age of the candidate should be between 16 years to 19 and 1/2 years.
After clearing the NDA exam the candidate has to undergo for the training as per their opted field. On the successful completion of their training they get placed on the floor for the work.
So if you are giving a thought to make your career in Navy go for it. You do not need to worry for the Placement because it is a Central Government Job.
