Colleges those offer Polytechnic Diploma they usually offer students directly depending on their 10th Marks through merit. Whereas their are some of the states they conduct the entrance exam for the Polytechnic Entrance Exam. You can visit to the Board of Technical Education official website and can confirm whether their is an entrance exam for polytechnic course for the state.
The eligibility criteria for the Entrance exam is a student should have class 10th or 12th or its equivalent or the student who has appeared for the 10th or 12th exam from a recognised university or board is eligible for the Polytechnic Entrance Exam.
