I am a B.Sc Chemistry graduate and MBA Marketing post-graduate. I did my MBA in the year 2003. Thereafter I have been switching many jobs due to wrong career choice. I had given an aptitude test which suggested me to shift to no sales or marketing jobs like sales support, customer support or analyst. I want to know what options are available for me as an Analyst? Whether i should go for financial analyst / business analyst / seo analyst/ any other analyst roles? Kindly advise. Regards, Nilesh

Hello Nilesh,Welcome to Career Guide.comThanks for writing us your career query.
Nilesh considering your career query, You hold a good qualification like B.Sc Chemistry and MBA Marketing and along with it you also hold a work experience. I am pleased to hear when you found it difficult with regards to the career choice you went with the aptitude test.
You have mentioned in the query saying aptitude test report says no to go for sales/marketing /customer support or analyst jobs, its surprising to hear and you wish to get in the analyst field.
If write back clearly which are the areas mentioned for you for your further career journey that will help us to give you a right suggestion. So please do write us back on the same note.
Prior to the second part of your query which analyst would be helpful for hereby i have the answer for it. By considering your qualification you have an option to become a Market Research Analyst. The typical work of the analyst is to conduct various surveys, feedbacks from the customers etc. and gather the data and analyse it.He needs to develop the strategies to increase the sale of the products. They help to develop the strategies for the development of the Businesses.
Whereas talking about the Financial Analyst is quite difficult because in order to become a financial analyst you need to have completed your MBA in Finance. The other option you have is to apply for CFA course and complete it and on the completion of CFA you can work as Financial Analyst.
You can also become a Business Analyst but for that you must hold an work experience of Business Analyst.
So you can give a thought on these analyst career opportunities.
I hope you fins this information relevant to your career query.
Feel free to get in touch again and do write me back.
Wish you Good Luck
Thank you
Warm Regards,Prathamesh Kapote
