Hi There,
Interesting to see that you are well aware of the requirements to practice dentistry in the USA. Since a BDS degree from India is invalid in US, completing a DDS is a must.
But please note even after completing DDS, clear the NBDA II exam and then apply to the state legislature for a licence where you wish to practice.
But getting a licence does not mean, you could begin a practice, since you are an immigrant and residents are given more of an opportunity there in US.
You could opt for a masters degree whereby you specialise in one area of dentistry or get into Research.
Generally Indian medical students opt for a masters degree in Public health
But here again I would like to advise you to consult an abroad education consultant, who would be in a better position to guide you regarding the practising state in US and also courses you coluld opt for.

Completing DDS is a must since BDS/MDS is not recognised in US for jobs. Further clearing the NBDA II exam is also essential for doing your practice.
Doing a Masters course in US in Dentistry is what I would suggest, which will add value as well as give you opportunities to work in US.
