Human Resources is a function dealing with complex subject of managing people.
Hi Sumeet,
A very interesting question and most importantly an interesting field, as it deals with Human. The most unpredictable lot.
We in general think that only Media is the field where Creativity is seen the utmost. No doubt, but HR is also a creative field.
No two individuals are the same and more so over, the same individual would not be showing a consistent behaviour over a period of time. What affects an individual may not affect the other person. Thus strategies cannot be same for every individual.
Here is the challenge for the HR department. As strategies cannot be personalised, there has to be one rule common for all employees. Thus Creativity steps in.
Right from the wordings, to the way it is being communicated to making employees get a personalized touch is the role of an HR.
At the same time, HR also deals with employee grievances. Thus being patient with the employee and at the same time letting him know the company favors him, is the skill an HR needs to possess.
And as I said, one strategy does not fit all. Similarly, theory studied has to be there somewhere in the back of your mind, which you need to refer, but the way you implement it is the key to your employee satisfaction.
Thus creativity is highly important for building and maintaining employee satisfaction and decorum leading to the growth of the organization.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck..........
