Below are the myths about Human Resource Managers and their work:

1. HR Manager is just "Yes man"
This myth is most prevalent among the professionals. HR Managers are generally seen as people who are trying to please everyone without accepting the truth. Their pleasant personalities are often mistaken as foolish and not facing the reality. It's not the truth. Their work often requires such warm attitude and soft spoken behavior and should not be mistaken.

2. HR Managers are all about hiring and firing people
That's again a prevalent myth. They are involved in the recruitment process doesn mean their job revolves around that only. They also have to take care of the other needs of office personnel. They are the ones who take care of the salaries and other expenses of employees. They get involved in variety of roles and should be appreciated for that.

3. HR Management is dull, repetitive and bureaucratic
This myth comes from the experience of the people who have previously worked in Human Resource. But they ignore the fact that time has changed. Things have changed. Now their role is dynamic. They get involved in so many fascinating activities that keeps them charged. They are enthusiastic and satisfied with their jobs.

4. Human Resource Manager is not involved in policy making
This is again something which existed in past. The policy makers were from outside HR department. These days most workplace policies involve HR Managers and their role is huge in almost all of them. They are the ones who ensure that every policy gets implemented with great conviction.

5. HR Management is not a place to get good salary
To some extent, if you compare them with banking jobs - yes they don't earn that much but they do earn in really good amounts. Also their role is just not about money. The sheer joy that one gets in this particular role cannot be measured in monetary terms. Interacting with people on regular basis is one of the most amazing jobs.

There are certain myths about HR managers that they have to keep sitting in front of computer all the day, they are good for nothing fellows, the degree in HR does not matter much,................But it is not so because HR managers have a very prominent role to play in an organization, like that of recruitment, sorting out issues related to underpay or overpay, leaves etc., Manpower - how much required and how many are overpaid etc. They need to work for the all-round development of fellow colleagues as well as the organization itself, thuis without any hassle you may go for taking admission in a renowned institution for MBA(HR), and you may consider these names - Sarvottam Institute of Management, Greate Noida,......................IIMs,......................Axis Institute of Technology and Management, Kanpur,......
