Dear Mayur,
Thanks for writing to www.careerguide.com!
Firstly, you need to understand that bank probationary officer job is different from Human Resource management Professor. In another question you also have asked about CA and Opthalmologist. All these fields are very different from each other. If you feel you are confused regarding appropriate Career choice I would request you to take Ideal Career Test from Careerguide. Com. It will not only help you know in which areas your strength lies but will also tell you what are your key strengths and in what professions you'll excel.
To answer your question, you need to have a Masters degree in Human Resource Management or MBA in HR. Along with this, you need to clear NET (National Eligibility Test for Assistance Professorship). You need to serve as Assistant Professor first, along with publications in Peer reviewed Journal and Teaching experience which will promote you to be Associate Professor and then Professor. There are direct recruitments for Professorship which requires minimum 10 publications of papers in reputated Journals or exceptional Academic and Professional Achievement will provide you direct Professorship positions.
Hope this answer has been useful. For any further assistance pls write us back!
Thanks & Regards,Apurva Kumar Pandya, PhD
Dear Aspirant,
Human Resource Management is a good domain area and definitely there is always a need of good teachers / professors.
Good that you are thinking of being a Professor in HRM.
Firstly you need to be a Masters in Personnel Management (MPM) or MBA in HRD. Then you need to appear for NET / SET examination of the UGC to qualify as a Assistant Professor in a senior college or management college.
You can also do Visiting Facultyship in colleges where NET / SET / PhD is not required however good amount of work experience and domain expertise is required.
If you are aiming for a full time job in teaching, then later on doing a PhD is very important..
Best wishes
