• NDA (National Defence Academy):-Eligible After 10+2 with PCM
• TES(Technical Entry Scheme):-Eligible after 10+2 with PCM
• UES(University Entry Scheme ) -Eligible during pre-final year of Engineering
• CDSE(Combined Defence Services Exams):- Final Year Graduates and above.
• TGC(Technical Graduates Course):-Final Year/ Have completed BE/B Tech.
• AEC(Men):-Post Graduate Degree MA/M.Sc MBA/MCA/M.Com students with 1st or 2nd Division are only eligible.

One can join Indian army, after 10th or 12th or after Graduation technical or non technical basis.
Please note, after 10th, if you have NSS certificate ( optional), you can join army as a soldier. Then with training and internal exams can move to the higher rank.
The most respected position in the Army, the Officer post, one can join after they Graduate with minimum 50%. They can join IMA, if they are just a Graduate and TRA, if they are an engineering Graduate.
After 12th, one can join NDA and simultaneously get training and join army as an officer through internal placements.
Please note one can join Army for a Short period of time, minimum 5 years called as the Short service commission. After clearing the 5 years, they can join Army again for 6 months. Here they would have to decide whether they wish to join army permanently or not.
