There are plenty of options for you if you want to diversify your career as a business analyst:

1. Higher studies: You can either go for an MBA or MS in various fields such as supply chain, information management, general management, economics, finance etc based on your interest and your area of expertise. If you decide to go for higher studies, it will add another dimension to your knowledge and thought process that would be extremely helpful in the long terms.

2. Shifting the industry: You can either shift your industry while working in same company or you can quit the organization in order to go for a different industry. Usually Business Analysts stay with the same company. That is because every company varies under various verticals and therefore has enough opportunities if one wants to shift the industry.

3. Change the profile: This again can be done in two ways - either by changing your organization or staying in the same one. In this case however opposite is true. It is difficult to shift the profile in the same company and thus many people change their jobs. Changing the profile should be done carefully as it may affect your resume in the long terms.

4. Staying in same profile: If you are keen to work in the same company and same profile but want to diversify your career, you will have to take the initiatives of participating in various technical and management practices. Spend a lot of time learning new things and interacting with new people. Do not limit yourself. That way you will be able to explore additional opportunities and will be able to diversify in a much better way.

Hope the information was helpful. If you are working as a business analyst, you are most likely working in a consulting organization. Diversity is valued a lot in such organizations. Therefore, pay a lot of attention to build diversified set of skills.
