Hello Gysell,
Good that you know what you are interested in making a career in.
But before that, it would be good if you would have mentioned what you currently studying
Anyways to be a radiologist technician, one can pursue a diploma after 10th. In case you planning for a graduation degree, which should be your goal. You need to pursue 12th in Science stream. After clearing 12th, you could opt for a B.SC in Radiology.
After you graduate, you can either start working or you could opt for a masters degree whereby you can specialise in one area of radiology.
Please note there is a difference between a Radiologist and a Radiologist technician. As a technician you would be involved in the scan and prepare the report and hand it over to the Radiologist who is a doctor who interprets the report for the patient.
To pursue Radiologist, you need to pursue medical after 12th science.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck...
Dear Aspirant,
Radiology is a very good career field. It has good scope today and future since that is a necessity medical requirement for people.
You can choose BSc Radiology and further MSc Radiology. Initially, it is recommended that you work under a Radiologist for some years. This will help you gain the practical technical experience as well as how to treat the patients and help them.
If you opt for MBBS and then Radiology specialisation, you will be called as Radiologist yourself and you then need not remain a technician. Later you can approach a bank for loan and have your own Radiology centre in the city and become the owner of the same. Do not remain as a technician.
Best wishes
