If you want to convince someone that one thing is better than other, then you must state the positive aspects of it or the negative aspects of other thing. If your parents want you to pursue B. tech then you are definitely from science stream.
The problem with science stream is that everyone thinks that they can only do B. Tech. This sounds very stereotypical but this is the fact. They don’t get the idea that a student of science stream is capable of doing much more than just engineering.
Let me first state some features about BBA and B.Tech.
A student of science or any other stream can do Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) if he/she is interested in management or business strategies. BBA is 3-year undergraduate business management course. It includes complete knowledge of management and leadership.
The main objectives of the institute offering BBA is to make a candidate an efficient entrepreneur, gain good communication skills and provide basic management skills. Nowadays colleges offer specialization in various areas like finance, human resource, international business and much more. Admission in various colleges is through an entrance exam which tests logic and reasoning.
On the other hand, B. Tech or Bachelor of Technology is a 4-year degree course. It is usually done by the people who love exploring technology. These students are into the minute parts and working of machines. B. tech is considered as tough course by majority of people.
The admission for this course is through an entrance exam which tests the engineering aptitude of an individual, questions from mathematics, physics, and chemistry are usually asked.
The question then arises that which course is better BBA or B. Tech? By the point of view of parents, B. Tech is better as everyone considers that we can easily find job after engineering, but the choice must totally rely on an individual’s interest.
As the person who asked the main question clearly indicates that he/she wants to do BBA which in turn indicates that he/she is interested in management and not in technology. So you must definitely go for BBA as the scope of BBA is no less than B. Tech, in fact, BBA has more scope nowadays than B. Tech as the number of engineering graduates is far more than BBA.
The main question is how to convince parents. Now I’m going to enlist some points of difference between BBA and B. tech which you can tell your parents:
So my friend if you are interested in doing management studies and want to settle as a manager or HR in a good company and don’t want to become a tech nerd then you must definitely go for BBA without a doubt. I’m sure your parents will get convinced.
