Dear Aspirant,

Chartered Accountancy by that name only exists in India through The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). www.icai.org

Accounting and Taxation degrees are available in UK and Australia and US. For this you will have to clear 10+2 and appear for IELTS and GRE and then you can do courses in Accountancy.

Foreign courses in Accountancy are as follows:

ACCA, UK
CPA from AICPA, USA
CFA, USA

Apart from the above professional courses, you can get admission into under graduate business and accounting courses and complete a Bachelors degree in Accountancy from almost all countries.

BUT, please remember that Accounting laws are different from country to country, so you will have to first decide whether you wish to settle abroad or not.

Best wishes

Thanks for your query. I believe Dr. Anand has answered your query.

Well, you did not mention in which country you would like to do CA? Because there are different system of education in different country. If you are clear about which country you would like to settle, then doing course from that country would be useful.

Some students who are not able to clarify CA from India, they prefer to do CPA from USA. To be very clear, CPA is not recognized in India.

To practice in India, one has to be enrolled as practicing member (CA) at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). However, if someone is looking for a job he may not be required to have CA. Depending on job role and other MNC's consider CPA or other accountancy course at par with CA and have remuneration equivalent to CA or sometimes even higher.

If you want to work with foreign companies where you need to learn respective countries financial system then doing finance course relevant to that country may be useful.

Hope this is useful.
If you still have querries, feel free to revert back.

With you best luck for bright career!

The process of becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA) in other countries may vary depending on the country's regulations and requirements. However, I can provide a general overview of the steps involved in pursuing a CA qualification in many countries:

Research and Choose the Country: Start by researching the countries where you want to pursue a CA qualification. Each country may have its own accounting body or institute responsible for overseeing the CA program.

Meet Eligibility Criteria: Check the eligibility criteria for enrolling in the CA program in your chosen country. Typically, you'll need to have completed a certain level of education, such as a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Bitlife
