Hello Arun,
A warm Welcome to Career Guide.com
Thanks for visitng us and writing us your career query.
Well Arun thats good that you have completed your B.Tech in Computer Science. My question to is why choose to diversify your career path. Banking and B.Tech are completely different career tracks having no relation with each other.
I have some of the question on which i wish you to think and reply back to me-1.Why you felt to go for the Banking field?2.Are you really interested to make your career in the Banking Sector.
Its sad to hear that you tried to crack the Banking exam but were not able to clear it. As you have not mentioned how many times you have given an attempt to the Banking Exam.
My advise to you would be to go with your Computer Science field. Start a career in the Computer Science Engineering because when we think of making a career in the Banking Sector their is no surety whether if we will crack the exam in first attempt. Their may be a times where it may take 3/4 attempts to crack the exam. So instead of giving a full time for the banking exam i would advice you now to look out for a job in your field because now you have an experience how are the Banking exams and also know the pattern of the same. You can prepare for the exams along with the job.
Even if you dont crack the Bank exam you have an option in your hand to continue your career in the career in which you hold a degree.
Make sure that you have an interest to make a career in Banking. if you don't have an interest to make a career in the Banking than dont go for that option.
I hope you find this information useful and helpful
Feel free to get in touch again for your further career queries.
Wish you Good Luck
Thank You

Dear Aspirant,
You being an Engineer you are thinking of a banking career. It is true that many engineers who are not able to find jobs in IT or Engineering start hunting for other career options and then jobs in that field.
IT/Software and Banking are not to be compared at all, since they are not related anyways. Are you really sure that you are not getting to do anything in engineering/IT field? IT industry is growing and there are definitely jobs available.
I suggest that you should choose a career only the basis of your aptitude, interests, and inter personal abilities. Banking has good opportunities but hope you realise that the money, efforts and time put in engineering will become a complete waste once you change your career.
