Mostly, people prepare for entrance exams like UPSC and other administrative services exams, but in an attempt of doing so, got completely lost as the most generic idea of preparation and forgets about all the other possible options that they still have in the box and can try their luck in those exams too.   • UPSC: UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission and is one of the most difficult exams that are conducted by the government of India.   • Bank PO: Bank PO is the examination held in India in order to get a satisfactory job at any of the registered banks and work for them. This examination holds a lot of importance since it provides direct placement after clearing this examination in all the possible rounds. But in order to clear the examination, one should be good at quantitative aptitude and as well as general awareness which can also be focused while preparing for IAS, as general awareness and current affairs are also a part of the curriculum of IAS.   • SSC-CGL: SSC is Staff Selection Commission- Common Graduate Level entry and is the recruitment staff under the government of India for the multiple positions for the graduates. This is the other possible options to get a good government job. The selection procedure of these examinations is almost same as the other and hence making it one the best possible option to opt for while preparing for the IAS exam.

 

  • CDS: CDS stands for combined defense services and is the selection procedure for entry level graduates to join the armed and military service for the government of India and play a major role here. Almost each and every section of the CDS exams consists of the IAS preliminary round followed by the interview which is also personality based and hence preparing for IAS can be looked forward to preparing for this exam too.
