The student should be a citizen of India. This is a mandatory requirement. In case a student is a resident of any other country then for that a different process needs to be followed where documents are verified. After the verification of passport and other documents only the student is allowed to take admission in BBA course in any college in India.

Based on different college rules preferences are provided to the students. Some colleges give preference to the students who belong to same state as college. The age required to be eligible to take admission is 17 years to 22years. Though not all colleges have this as a strict rule. They do not necessarily check the age limit for admission. But some colleges follow this age bar strictly. There should be no criminal record of the student in the state as well as in the national level. The student should be mentally and physically able enough to be able to take up the course and study the syllabus.

Student should have passed the secondary and higher secondary examinations. His tenth and twelfth marks should be above 40%. This is the minimum academic eligibility, general rule for admissions. Some colleges have higher percentage demand in school levels. Especially the top ten colleges that are ranked in the top list have high Cut off percentage for intake in BBA course.

Students need to appear for the entrance examinations conducted by different universities. The forms are filled in the months of March and April and the admission process starts in the months of May. The list is out immediately within a month after the entrance examination. Students who get through the examinations are only eligible to take admission in the college. It is important to have English as a subject till standard tenth, though it is not yet a mandatory clause but still some colleges have this eligibility criterion too.

Students who have completed UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test) with more than 500 marks get the admission directly without any entrance examination. Students who have completed their higher secondary examination with percentage above 80 and also have done an extra course related to BBA such as computer certification courses like JAVA and C++. International students need to appear for an entrance test of GCE (General Certificate of Education) with “A” level or any examination that stands equivalent to the twelve years schooling of Indian Education System.
