National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is a common entrance test which is conducted throughout the country to select outstanding medical students who are then allotted their colleges rank wise. Here’s a list of the top 15 medical institutions according to NEET rankings:

  • ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (AIIMS), DELHI 

 A separate entrance exam is conducted in the month of May every year online from which only a lucky 72 students are selected. It’s one of the most coveted medical education institutions for MBBS program. The other courses it offers are Nursing, Ophthalmic, AND Biotechnology as well as Doctor of Medicine (MD). It boasts an impressive faculty, a well-endowed library, research-based teaching etc. Small class size, excellent library facilities, liberal clinically oriented teaching and top class research exposure make AIIMS Delhi the number one choice for all medical aspirants. It also provides scholarships to worthy candidates.

  • CHRISTIAN MEDICAL COLLEGE (CMC)

Located in Vellore, the college enrolls about two thousand students in every batch. It advances courses of study such as Bachelor of Science in branches of medicine such as  Cardiac Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology etc. along with ), Bachelor in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) etc. The institute also imparts post-graduation programmes and diplomas. Apart from MBBS, the admission procedure to CMC is through the CMC Vellore admission test conducted annually.

  • MAULANA AZAD MEDICAL COLLEGE (MAMC), NEW DELHI 

This government college is a part of the federation of colleges under the Delhi University. AIPMT was the deciding factor clearing which exemplary students gain an entrance to the college now the students have to appear for NEET. MSc. And doctorate courses are also extended. The college was founded in 1958.

  • JAWAHARLAL INSTITUTE OF POSTGRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (JIPMER)
     It’s one of the oldest schools to teach Western medicine. Applicants have to give a JIPMER entrance examination usually in the first week of June.  There is a total of 1500 MBBS seats. The Pondicherry based college proposes courses in Audiology, Maters in public health, BSc. In allied sciences etc. besides many other certificates and super specialty programs.

 

  • ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE (AFMC), PUNE 

This unique college provides education to students without extracting any fee, the functioning of this college located in Pune is the responsibility of the Indian Armed Forces. Certificate course in Neonatal Nursing, Certificate course in Oncology Nursing apart from the 5-year M.B.B.S.

 

  • GRANT GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE, MUMBAI

This College with a rating of 8 out of 10 admits about only a meager amount of students that is 200 to its undergraduate courses. It’s affiliated with JJ group of hospitals.  Courses up for offer include Masters of Science (Pathology), Master of Chirurgiae among others.  

 

  • KING GEORGE’S MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, LUCKNOW

The teaching method here stresses clinical and practical training rather than theory. Offering postgraduate courses in Anatomy, Urology, Radiology, and Ophthalmology, admission to this college is governed is by NEET.

  • MADRAS MEDICAL COLLEGE, CHENNAI

Established in 1835, Madras Medical College post-graduation is considered to be a      rate.  MBBS, Bachelor of Pharmacy, M.D. in Microbiology, M.S. ENT etc. To obtain entry, one must clear the NEET exam.

 Receiving only 60 students for the MBBS course, it’s a reputed medical college in Bangalore which allows students on the basis of their merit in the SJMC entrance exam.it was established in 1980. Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing and Child Health Nursing are some of the departments.

  • INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, VARANASI

 Institute of Medical Sciences is the medical college of Banaras Hindu University (BHU).  The college it offers courses, BDS, BAMS (Ayurveda) etc.  The candidates are shortlisted depending on their performance in the entrance test.
