  1. Gujarat National Law University

GNLU is based in the city of Gandhinagar.  Considered to be one of the most reputed law schools in the school, Gujarat National Law University is a branch of National Law University.  It is the only NLU in the country extends integrated law courses such as:

  • Bachelor of Science BSc, LLB
  • Bachelor of Arts BA, LLB
  • Bachelor of Commerce, LLB

Initially students were admitted through a separate entrance test conducted by the university. After the Common Law Entrance Test or CLAT was made mandatory in 2008, GLNU started admitting students for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs based on their CLAT performance.

  1. Faculty of law, Nirma University

The Institute of Law was founded fairly recently in the year 2007. Under the auspices of Nirma University, ILNU provides programs such as:

  • Bachelor of Law (Arts)
  • Integrated programs (5 years )
  • 1year LL.M. program
  • Doctoral Programs

The Institute of Law adopts a methodology of teaching where in a multidisciplinary perspective is brought into practice. A holistic development of the student in the spheres of values and skills is stressed upon. The faculty aims to provide the best teaching experience to the students.

  1. Government Law College

Another recent addition to the list of legal education institutions, Government Law came up in the city of Ahmedabad.  There are three kinds of LLB courses available in the college for under graduates. The college policy towards teaching is an amalgamation of two different kinds of tutorial styles. It claims to provide both theoretical legal knowledge as well as practical experience to pupils in the form of discussions on burning topics, Informative guest lectures and seminars, moot court room sessions, etc. Government Law College has been ratified by the Bar Council of India.

  1. Law institute, M.S. University or Baroda School of Legal Studies

M S University of Baroda set up by royalty in 1949 boasts of attracting students from all over the world. Situated in the city of Vadodara, its Law faculty has earned rave reviews. It has been acknowledged as a prestigious college since the very beginning. Various programs are at the disposal of students including:

  • LLB
  • LLM (offered both In Criminal and Business Law)
  • PhD program.

 Its famed faculty is equipped to deal with the ever-present remodeling in law. It is currently being presided over by Dr.Syed Maswood. The decision to begin a five year integrated law programme in the Baroda School of Legal Studies (BSLS) has been given the green light.

  1. Siddarth Law College

The institution seeks its affiliation from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.  A three year LLB program has been advanced. It is located in the city of Surat.  Under the aegis of the Ambedkar education society the institute made its humble beginnings in 1991.Their goal has always been to produce well rounded competent lawyers.

  1. Shree HN Shukla college of legal studies

This private institution is established in the city of Rajkot. Shree HN Shukla College of Legal Studies is located in Rajkot and it’s affiliated to the University of Saurashtra. An integrated five year full time law program can be pursued by students here. Amenities such as state of the art infrastructure like huge classrooms, well-endowed labs, and library can be made use of.

  1. AMP Law College.

This college dates back to the fifties and is hence one of the foremost law institutions in the state of Gujarat.  Saurashtra University provides affiliation to the college.  Hostel facilities are provided to students. It is a state public university which has the seal of approval of the Bar Council of India.
