However, IGNOU is a recognized university and in most of the cases degree awarded by it would be valid across the country and countries including USA, Australia and UK. Again, you have to check beforehand the subject and the university you wish to apply for. Apart from that not having maths background will not be an issue. After getting through you have to put extra efforts to learn maths.
