Are there any options for pursuing a pg course in Astronomy after a B.A. degree in Maths? if there are kindly furnish the necessary details.

I'm about to join a college for my undergraduate studies, I have an option to choose between Btech. In CSE and B.A. in Maths. I'm really very interested in Astronomy and I want to know whether there are options for me to pursue a pg course in astronomy (in india aor abroad) where I can apply, so kindly suggest me which way should I go, Btech or B.A. ?

Dear Aspirant,

You are too much out of the world. I am sad to know that you do not have the basic information about the courses and their eligibility.

BA in Maths is not sufficient to get into Astronomy which is a very high end career where you need to have extra ordinary command over Maths and Physics.

With BA in Maths (actually you should have done BSc Maths) you can career opportunities in Business Analysis, Actuarial Science, etc.

I suggest you to look for career based on maths in finance, banking, insurance, teaching, etc.

Best wishes
