Courses in space science after 12th

Hello

Good to hear on your interest in studying about space. Studying about space involves two different sections. One is about the space and its particles and the other is related to technology and vehicles to revolve around space. If you are interested in studying about space itself, then you should choose Physics after school, and if you want to study on the technology part to travel to space, then you should study Aerospace engineering. I shall explain on these two degree subjects further here.

These are the courses in space science after 12th
BSc Physics:
If you have studied Science and maths until 10th level plus have studied Physics at HSC level, then you can choose to study BSc Physics in college. Studying a BSc Physics degree will give you understanding about the universe, its particles, and also good knowledge on space. To be specialised only with space science, then you should choose to study Astrophysics or Astronomy as part of this degree. Some universities abroad also offer space science and technology as a part of the BSc Physics specialisation. This BSc Physics is a three year degree initially and completing the BSc, you can study MSc Physics. After MSc, you can either work for research organisations or at corporates. Otherwise you can also choose to do a PhD Physics with Astronomy or Astrophysics. Completing the PhD, you are regarded as a space scientist or a space researcher. You can either work for government approved space centres like the ISRO or instead work at universities as a Professor.

BTech in Aerospace engineering and technology

The next option is studying a BTech Aerospace engineering and technology. This is a professional degree run for four years. To study this degree you need to have studied science including physics and maths at 10th level plus have studied PCM Physics, chemistry, and maths at HSC level. With this a BTech Aerospace engineering degree is possible to be studied. As part of the degree you will learn about vehicles that gets launched into space. You will learn in-depth about the design, research, development, construction, testing, science and technology of aircarft and space craft. As you have written a word technology in your query, I assume you may be even suited to studying this professional degree, if you had compulsorily studied maths and physics until school level.

Finally I have given you two options. BSc Physics with Astronomy or Astrophysics and a BTech Aerospace engineering. You should read through the syllabus of each of these degrees and find what degree of the two inspires you to study the most and choose the one accordingly.
Hope this helps and you are choose between courses in space science after 12th
Good luck.
