500+ Career Options
1M+ Test Taken
Hi Bhumika,
Very pleased to know that you have chosen the right path to select your career.
The choice of career you have listed down related to Education, could be pursued by any stream, ARTS, Science or commerce.
You can follow it up with a B.ed and then start teaching in schools or in junior college.
Another option you have is pursuing English Literature. For this course, you would have to pursue an ARTS degree ( BA English) and follow it up with a masters degree.
At the same time, there is something called as Special educators, they are the ones who help the differently abeled as well as students facing learning issues or slow learners, understand the subject.
Any Graduate is eligible to pursue a B.ed in special education, but if pursued as a Psychologists would help you teach the student using Counseling methods. Thus you can pursue masters in Psychology after your Graduate degree in Psychology.
Hope this helps
Wish you good luck..

Dear Aspirant,
If you have been suggested Education and Skill development, then it means that you are ideal for teaching profession.
For entering into the teaching profession, you need to have a Masters degree and then complete your PhD.
The Stream Suggester Test would be an ideal test, which will tell you which stream (whether Arts, Commerce or Science) you can take up. I request you to take that test since I suppose you have taken the Ideal Career Test, which has suggested the Education & Skill Development as an area for your career.
The stream which you will be suggested after taking that test, you should go Graduation and Post Graduation in that. Post the post graduation, you need to appear for National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by UGC. Passing that exam is mandatory for being appointed as Assistant Professor in your chosen field.
PhD should be the ultimate aim for having a secure and stable career in teaching profession.
Best wishes
Hello Bhumika,
To add on few more points above the advises given by our counsellors,
Apart from the conventional route by going for a B.Ed or M.Ed, I would also advise you to take up courses like Masters in Child Psychology, Masters in Educational psychology, Masters in Experimental psychology. These courses offers the application of counselling and psychological theories in Education. Later on, you may also go ahead with a PhD in Education.
To start with, you can most often consider doing a Bachelors in Arts like the BA in History, Sociology, Psychology, English or any other humanities. Of these doing a BA/ BSc Psychology is more wise. There on you can take up the Masters route as I indicated above. Students with Education degrees, especially at the PhD level are often preferred much at UNICEF, a United Nations branch that deals exclusively for education. I hope you plan well and go ahead well with your dreams.
Good luck.
