Benefits of doing BCA in current times:-

The IT sector in India is growing at higher pace, each year there are more and more start-up companies coming in the market to compete with large TNCS and they have demand for computer personnel’s with software knowledge.

After doing BCA the scope is endless there is wide spectrum of jobs ranging from computer analyst to software developer. The students have an option either to further increase their knowledge in the field by doing post-graduation or doing a job to increase their experience. The starting salary may vary depending on the talent and capabilities of an individual and the institution from where he/she has done BCA.

Syllabus

BCA is a three-year course divided in 6 semesters which is mostly software based meaning Non-technical. The first year is comparatively easy as to assist students who are from other streams. BCA also enhances communication skills and its aim is to give fundamental knowledge of computer to its students.

Compared to B.Tech, BCA colleges have less fees and higher acceptance due the less technical nature of the course. Students who can't attend regular college can do BCA from distant learning which makes it more preferable course over others.

Though there are lots of colleges in India which provide BCA as a course but very few are well-known and considered by students due to faculty and placement standards.

What after BCA?

In current times BCA may not be enough as growing competition and fewer jobs make the Employer to be more selective. After doing BCA the most preferred course is MCA which provides more technical knowledge to the students. After doing MCA there are lot of more jobs available and people get easily accepted in large MNCs like Google, Yahoo, Infosys, IBM, and HP.
MCA is a two-year course and after doing it the salary package increases significantly. One could get anywhere from 25 to 45k eventually as with time the salary grows.

MBA is also an option as one can have computer and marketing knowledge altogether so he can be a   manager in an IT firm. Many students also do part-time jobs as to build their resume and in any industry the more the experience the more the salary and perks will be there.

Conclusion:-

There is a stiff competition in getting into a good college. So I suggest everyone prior to finishing of 12th examination give some time for the preparation of the entrance exams held by various colleges.

BCA is a very famous course due to the fact that it has endless scope and its students get accepted easily in any IT Firm due to demand but one has to make sure that the institution is very reputable and he/she has to be very determined and hardworking as the industry is very competitive.

IT sector in India is somewhat new but in such a less time it constitute a large amount of GDP and one of the biggest employer. Indian computer professionals are easily accepted in USA and other IT hubs due to the only reason because of Indians being very hardworking and responsible in their work. If you really give your best you can be very successful in this industry.
