I am a commerce with maths student of a reputed school. I am among the toppers of my school. I know if I work for DU I can even clear that. And law from national law universities is a good option as well.. I am currently in 12th.i have taken clat coaching last year. Should I work purely on 12th class or else Clat. Those of my firends who have opted for clat are not focussing on 12th,so also they do not have maths as their optional subject. Please help.

500+ Career Options

Dear Friend,
Hi there,
Firstly interesting career options and Secondly good that you have opted for Math in 12th and thirdly, but the most important is prepare well for your exams. It is the HSC, the most important exam that will help you to choose a career in the future.
Yes. I did say 12th is important. Good and I agree that you are brilliant in academics, but you never know what kind of paper is set in the future. So it is a risk one needs to take. So better would be to work hard and appear and clear 12th wilh flying colours as wel;l as prepare for CLAT. Mind you though, for LAW, CLAT is important, but a portion of their score judgment is also based on the 12th score too.\
Cutting the long story short, the choice of career is purely your choice. As such after Graduation, you can pursue LAW, but not the other way round.
Now comes the next question, are you interested in economics and statistics and calculations and predictions. That is what economics is all about. If that is where your skill lies, you can go ahead in pursuing a BA / B.SC Economics.
Both the subjects are also a good combination or if done individually, can help you with Civil Services too ( IAS,& IFS)
Now the choice is yours.
But best would be to focus on 12th as well as the LAW examination too. Then ultimately it would be your likes and interests that you can match with your potentials
Wish you all the very best...............
