Hey Dear,

The eligibility criteria for Doing a diploma course in Clinical Psychology is simply a Masters in Psychology or Clinical Psychology i.e. MA or M.Sc in Clinical Psychology or Psychology with at least 50 % Marks.

But Dear there are hardly any universities in India that offer this course and moreover a mere diploma does not hold value in front of M.Phil in Clinical Psychology.

Clinical Psychology is a very extensive field where in practical skills and knowledge hold a lot of importance and hence by simply doing a diploma will not increase your credibility in the field of Clinical Psychology.

If you are very keen and passionate about doing a course in Clinical Psychology then instead of a diploma go for M.Phil in Clinical Psychology as that is a set standard for working in this field and by a simple diploma you might even find it difficult to settle with a decent job. Though in doing a Diploma Course you will have to only spend an year but if you want to do an M.Phil then you will require 2 years but dear I am very sure that it will be really beneficial and fruitful in long run and will definitely give you a successful career ahead.

So instead of doing a Diploma go for an M.Phil but also remember that the RCI or the Rehabilitation Council Of India Certification is of utmost importance now days. No matter whatever course you do in Psychology it is required to be RCI approved if you are willing to practice. Though there are many people who are practicing these days without an RCI license but after some time it will be compulsory for all to have it and if you want to practice independently as a Clinical Psychologist or an Expert in the field of Psychology then you are required to have a RCI license.

So decide and take a right decision.

Best Wishes!
