Law studies are such studies that in today's changing business dynamics, political scenario and complex economic conditions, they are very essential irrespective of the field a person working in. Today I observe that MBAs, Doctors and Engineers are doing law courses while doing their jobs or immediately after completing graduation and or post graduation. What I would suggest you is that if possible why don't you do a full time LLB course instead of doing a distance learning course. LLB is the best course which you should do and which will be extremely important and helpful for running your family business
