Hi Omi,
A very good decision you took by getting your Aptitude tests results done.
My question here is, Can you share your tests results, so that it gets easier to suggests degree courses that you can opt for.
Since you have mentioned, pursuing Graphics and web designing, so probably your creative or visulization aptitude is strong.
So why dont you pursue a Graduation in the same field ahead.
You could pursue a B.Sc in Visual Art, Animation, web designing and graphics.Check out few Institutes. There are private as well as government authorized institutes providing the courses. The only difference being, Private institutes can add on to the courses making it a new kind of course and the fees are comparatively higher and they proclaim guaranteed admission.
Another option, Since you have completed your 12th, you could also opt for a Graduation in Media.A BMM, course which is for 3 years and pursue Advertisement specialization at the Graduate level. To pursue BMM, you would have to appear for an entrance exam, which would generally tests your ability in terms of creativity, visualization skills and logical aptitude.
Also if you are interested in Computers, since you have mentioned, you took admission in Computer engineering, you could opt for a BCA program.BCA program would strengthen your knowledge regarding both Software, Software programming and Application and Hardware.Only eligibility criteria for this course is studying Math as a subject in 12th, which i am sure you did in the 12th.
As far pursuing a course Full time and Part-time is concerned. If you have a valid reason to pursue a course part-time rather in correspondence then there would be no issue. Also a valid experience supporting the correspondence study adds value to the program you undertake.
Hope this helps.
Do write back if needed clarification on any matter. Will be more than ready to help.
Wish you good luck...
Yes it did help. Thank you.

i joined graphics & web design-development course(GWDD) in Arena institute.I am more interested in web part than graphics. You suggested Bsc in web design. How much it defers from Bsc-it & Bsc-cs or BCA? are there any regular collages for Bsc web design?Apart from BCA do the above courses have maths as subject? i was not good in maths in HSC (i had hard time passing maths in engineering)
Which has better job prospect and help me in my GWDD course?do i need doctor's certificate in admission for my break?Thank you.
Pleased to see your response.
As far as I can see from your Aptitude tests score, you are a pretty talented.
As far as Math is concerned, you do show high potentials, but probably its the fear of math, that does not help you score, or else you do have the required basic understanding of the subject.
Yes, any course in computers, whether BCA or IT or Computer science, does have math but at the basic level, and mind you it is different than what you have faced during your engineering days.
The only advantage with BCA or B.Sc IT, in relation to Maths would be that the softwares are already created and you just need to apply them and at the same time, the algorithms on which software people work are ready to use materials online or on the computer itself. You just need to follow the instructions. But when it comes to computer science, as mentioned in my early answers, it is where you are creating a hardware or software, by making use of computations and algorithms. Thus Math would be the top priority there.
Coming to your next question, the difference between Web designing and BCA is very clear. Web designing as the name suggests is mainly related to creating and designing a web page, whereas BCA would be more related to software programming and development. Though we need software for designing the web, but as a web designer, you dont need to work in creating or implementing the software's like a BCA professional. The software exists and you just use it as per your requirement.
Answering the last question, graphic designign being a part of computers, and all the above courses also being computer related, my question to you is, Are you interested in developing a software or are you interested in working with the existing software.
If you are interested in developing the software and troubleshooting then a BCA or B.Sc IT would be preferable. And if in using the existing software then a Web designing course would be preferable.
Though Web designing is closely related to Graphic designing. Because both go hand in hand. You would be making help of graphics to enhance the webpage.
But mind you, there are short term programs available in the market, so even if you pursue a Graduation in BCA, you can pursue Web designing as an Addon course to enhance your qualifications.
As far as continuing with studies is concerned, as i had previously mentioned, you need to clear a bridge course. As far as producing a medical certificate is concerned, it would be good if you could get in touch with the authorities and seek clarification. generally it is not required, but better be safe by means of inquiry by visiting the person in charge.
Rest is your choice.
Hope I have been able to address your issue.
Choose wisely.
Wish you good luck.........
Dear Aspirant,
I personally do not see any point in you doing BSc in Visual Arts already when you are doing Diploma in Web designing and development.
Yes, you are right a graduation is a must and very beneficial.
You can do BA in any subject you like since Maths is not your competence. Once you have decided to be into the web designing field, a simple graduation will be fine.
I would suggest you to concentrate on getting a good job based on your diploma.
You can definitely do BA through distance mode form a recognised University. This should not cause any problem.
Best wishes
