Introduction
Men must be at least 165 cm tall and women must be at least 150 cm tall. In the case of candidates belonging to ST and races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalias, Assamese, Kumauni's, Nagaland Tribal, etc., the minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for men and women, respectively. Candidates who are applying for the exam should verify that they meet all of the requirements for admission to the exam. Candidates will be chosen for the IPS examination only if they meet the eligibility requirements For IPS selection, there is no such thing as a maximum weight, but they look for someone who is not differently abled and meets the physical qualifying criterion. You are an IPS officer if you pass the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) and your rank places you in the IPS selection pool. The rest of your training will take place at the SVPNPA, where you will be required to maintain a certain level of physical condition. You should be in good health, with a minimal height, good vision, and normal legs and heart. There are no physical endurance tests, such as running a certain distance in a certain amount of time, or clearing a long or high leap. Training will begin after IPS has been cleared. There is, however, no specific physical endurance test. A normal healthy human being can easily undergo IPS training including physical training.

UPSC Educational Qualification Criteria for IPS
To take the UPSC exam, a candidate must have at least a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. 1. Candidates who have written the qualifying exam (bachelor's degree) final year examinations and are awaiting results are eligible to apply. Candidates who will take the final test are also eligible to take the UPSC preliminary examination. However, when applying for the IAS mains exam, these applicants must show proof of passing the exam. 2. In exceptional cases, the UPSC may allow a candidate who does not fall under the aforementioned categories if the candidate has passed an exam conducted by other institutions, the standard of which the UPSC is convinced justifies his/her admission to take the UPSC exam. 3. Those candidates with professional/technical qualifications which are recognized by the Government as equivalent to professional/technical degrees are also eligible. 4. Candidates who have not completed their internship by the time they apply for the UPSC Mains will be given provisional admission if they submit a copy of the certificate from the concerned University/institution authority stating that they have passed the required final professional medical examination MBBS. Such candidates will be required to present a document from the university/institution at the time of the interview stating that they have completed all of the criteria (including the internship) for the award of a medical degree.
Medical Tests After IAS Exam
After passing the civil services exam, a candidate would be subjected to a medical examination in accordance with UPSC norms. To be accepted into a service, an applicant must pass the board's medical examination. However, certain technical services (such as the Indian Police Service, the Railway Protection Force, DANIPS, PONDIPS, and the (Indian Railway Traffic Service) require the candidate to meet specific special medical requirements in terms of height, chest, and other factors.
