hi
I am in my last semester of my BCA. I have a 8.1 GPA. I have worked in a start up with NodeJS and AngularJS. I have a OCJP, CEH, and MongoDB nosql certificate. What kind of jobs should I expect ? Will I get a good job ? Or should I try MCA ? I am also regular in competitive programming sites like HackerRank.

Dear Aspirant,
MCA is a must I would say for a long term good career.
MCA will make you confident and learn the advanced level which is required in the industry. Just ensure that you do MCA from a reputed Institute and not through distance mode, etc.
You can also appear for certifications like CCNA, MSCE, etc. which will add value to your CV at the time of final placements in MCA.
Best wishes!
Hey @Sanjit_Roy I really impressed with your profile, you just completed your BCA and worked with startup! and that on today's most demanding technology like NodeJS and Angular. If I can impressed simply other's can also impressed to offer you job
With these skills you can very easily get a job in startups just after your BCA and I also agree with @anandwadadekar about MCA for long term advantage.
If you closely observe getting a good job in tech industry is little bit different than other conventional industries, I would like to put few important points which may help you:
1. Have a smart public profile is important:If you want to work in tech industry then people should know that you are interested in this industry, now the question is how they would know about you? The simple answer is from your linkedin, twitter, github or Tumbler etc. accounts, so it is very important to create and maintain your public profile strategically, what I mean by strategically here is that suppose if I look at your profile on twitter then I would like to see what things you tweet, or whom do you follow.
So here is a simple trick if you want a good high paying job in tech industry you should create your smart public persona
2. Say it loudFurther to my above point, as you want to make your career as a developer then show off your skills on Github. Similarly for designer I would say go and create awesome portfolios on Dribbble or Behance. You should also write a blog post or may be multiple on Medium or wordpress or you also write answers on quora related to your skills or area of interest. Here is a simple trick anything you do to make yourself look intellectually different from others, you have simply win a game!
3. Make a list of companies and become a head hunterYou must have heard-off for senior positions, recruiters do head hunting for right talent, in a same way as you just starting your career and you already have right tech skills so go ahead and hunt for companies which matches your skills. You can find list of companies on linkedin or naukri.com and then you can directly send email to their senior HR person or directly to company's founders.
Wish you all the very best!!
You are having good certifications with you and your cgpa is also excellent. It is advisable to go for Post Graduate if that can be possible for you, as your career depends upon this only, your salary your designation, your appraisal. Also i recommend you to choose some good institute from where you can get good career boost as Christ University, Birla Institute of Technology, Lovely Professional University...
