When you mention IT or software field, I assume you wish to be a professional in the field of computers related to Hardware ( networking, LAN connection, etc) or Software ( Applications).

You could pursue BCA, or B.Sc IT after 12th. Here you need to pursue Math as a subject till 12th any stream.

In-case if you are looking out for engineering, then after 12th Science stream ( PCM), you would have to clear the engineering entrance exam.
Other than that please note that since the field is volatile, you need to keep yourself updated with the latests technology in the market.
